As a game developer, you are a highly motivated individual with an eagle eye for detail — you think, eat, and dream in code. At Game Hive, programming experience, dedication for gaming, as well as the willingness to share great ideas are all equally valued. Other qualities we’re looking for in our developers include:
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field; or an equivalent from a university or accredited college.
- Excellent C# programming skills (or similar, i.e. C / C++ / Java) — at least 3+ years of experience in a professional work environment.
- 3+ years of experience as a developer in the gaming industry with 1 shipped title
- Confidence and experience working in the Unity engine.
- Experience Android or iOS development (at least 2 years).
- High sense of quality and polish
- Proven capability of taking on technical responsibility for a product or project.
- Passion for game development!

We’re looking for Software Developers with a specialization in Unity front-end system, to help continue our Sword Master’s adventure in Tap Titans 2 (live operations team). This game has over 10 million installs and is the place for hundreds of thousands of active players who have formed clans and communities committed to tapping away, every day. We, and our Sword Master, are looking for support to continue their adventure! Could this be you? In this role, you will be doing everything from building, implementing and releasing in-game features — to monitoring and enhancing client systems, art pipelines and tools.

The Software Developer (Backend) will be working on one of our two leading titles, acting as a key member of the development team.
The Hero Profile (Role)
You'll be getting your hands on: Python, SQL, Flask, SQLAlchemy, Memcached, Redis, Celery, Kubernetes, Docker, Cloud Services — AWS and GCP.
- You’ll be developing and designing the backend component of our mobile game features.
- You’ll be working with other departments of our team to deliver a fun and engaging game.
- You’ll be keeping features you worked on well documented and well-tested.
- You’ll be ensuring the performance, scalability, reliability, and security of our servers.
- You’ll be collecting metrics from game usage to server health.
- You’ll be developing internal tools and our internal portal used by our team.
- You’ll be working with a series of production deployments.
- You’ll be talking about games. A lot. And playing some too, if you like.
Max Level Skills (Requirements)
You are the type of person who can handle a fair amount of work freedom while understanding how to manage yourself. You know when to build something on your own or when to leverage existing solutions, and have confidence in your skills to make key decisions.
- A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent education and/or experience.
- Excellent Python programming skills (almost borderlining parseltongue), or similar language — 2+ years of professional working experience with Python;
- Experience and familiarity with SQL. You are able to design database schemas for large features and conjure queries to make the database give what you want — 2+ years of professional working experience.
- Familiarity with a Python web framework, such as: Flask, Django.
- Familiarity with a Python ORM, such as: SQLAlchemy, Django ORM.
- Familiarity with a linux-type environment.
- Knowing when to use the database and when to use the cache with caching systems, such as: redis, memcached.
- Comfortable in managing the performance and reliability of servers.

Senior Game Designer
Senior Game Designer
We are looking for a Senior Game Designer with strong quantitative capability to work on and shape something new! The ideal candidate understands the value of metrics-driven design, approaching game design with retention and engagement in mind. You are familiar with all the top mobile titles, specifically in the casual, f2p space. You have joined projects in all stages of development, from prototyping, through production, to live-ops.
The Hero Profile (Role)
You will be responsible for creating new game content while also iterating on current gameplay mechanics -- do you have what it takes to grab the reigns and create innovative game experiences?
- Making things happen! You will be transforming ideas from the Product Owner into detailed and clear designs, communicated through:
- documentation, wireframes, spreadsheets and flows.
- Developing features for core gameplay, owning the balance and progression of the game.
- Designing to create epic game experiences and progression, using rewards and monetization as driving factors.
- Providing actionable recommendations and working directly with programmers and artists to ensure game design mechanics and user experiences are correctly implemented.
- Outlining and developing stage mechanics, gameplay scenarios and prototypes.
- Analyzing user testing and analytics to recommend design solutions to the product.
- Using a metrics-driven approach to game design, using our data to improve the product and game experience.
- Being an advocate for players by designing features that exceed their expectations.
Max Level Skills (Requirements)
Strategic and analytical, you understand numbers and data. That, paired with your can-do attitude and proven leadership ability, you will be an integral part of the complete game design process. Numbers are your thing, and so are games.
- At least 4 years of experience in mobile, free-to-play game design in a professional capacity, which includes:
- experience and confidence in game-tuning and optimization for f2p games.
- Developed and designed major game systems and content for at least one shipped mobile title.
- Wizardry in excel and spreadsheets.
- Expertise in documentation for features and specs.
- Strong understanding and proven advocacy for the player experience and journey.
- A wealth of knowledge in game monetization concepts and economic modelling.
- Experience and confidence in diving deep into data and extracting actionable insights for game design.
- Experience in translating game concepts into on screen gameplay.
- Ability and excitement towards rapidly generating new fun game mechanics and levels.
- Aptitude for learning new technology, level editors and scripting languages.

- Experience in game engines such as Unity and Photon.
- A postgraduate degree in engineering, mathematics or related field.
