DevUpdate #6: New Horizons!
March 23, 2020
Hey Everyone, and welcome to our 6th DevUpdate!
Since releasing version 3.8 we’ve been hard at work here at GameHive preparing a whole slew of features for our next patch coming soon™! So without further ado, let's get into it!
To kick things off we have got two new raid cards coming out NEXT WEEK!
First is the Cosmic Haymaker! It’s very simple in concept: as you tap, you build up power, and once you’ve gathered your strength you release a single massive burst of damage. This card will be extremely consistent and should be a very versatile way of dealing big damage to controlled targets.
The second card is Flak Shot, an armour-oriented Burst card that deals bonus damage to armour and will ricochet a second burst onto an exposed body part. Used properly, this card will be very good at dealing a ton of damage to armour and an exposed body part at the same time.
We have two commonly requested features coming in v3.9. First is the raid retry button. It is something we’ve been looking at adding into the game for some time now. It has proved to be harder than anticipated, BUT, it will be making its way into TT2 in v3.9.
Second QoL feature we’re bringing to TT2 is locking the headers in scroll menus. This means no more scrolling up and down when upgrading heroes, artifacts, etc. Your “Buy Amount” header will always be anchored to the top of the scroll list! This one has been a long time coming but voila! Speak and ye shall be heard.
Now let’s get into some of the new features coming in v3.9! With the success of our new style of events, we’re happy to announce that we’ll be running more events more frequently (between our normal holiday events) to keep the rewards flowing! Alongside the event schedule we’re introducing a new method of completing item sets.
Everyone knows it can be a little frustrating trying to get that last bit of RNG for your equipment drops. We’re setting up a new feature in TT2 where, when you collect equipment that is part of a Legendary set, for a limited time you’ll be able to complete all the missing items from that set by spending some diamonds based on how many equipment pieces are still needed. Since we removed equipment from Titan Chests a while back there has been quite a bit of feedback asking for alternate ways to reliably earn equipment aside from crafting shards. This new “Complete the Set” offer will help control some of that item drop RNG.
That’s all for this week! I’ll have some more exciting news next Friday about what else is coming with v3.9!
